Putnam County, Florida is located 55 miles south of Jacksonville on the St. Johns River. A community of approximately 73,000, Putnam County is a hub for development as a number of industry leaders in pulp and paper, steel manufacturing, concrete pipe and ship building sectors reside here. Putnam County is also home to over 84,000 acres of agricultural land. Palatka, the county seat, is home to the Putnam County School District Office.

Across its 16 schools, the Putnam County School District welcomes approximately 10,000 students each year. Employing roughly 1300 teachers and staff, Putnam County School District is prepared to accelerate educational outcomes in rural America. With a focus on strengthening core instruction and expanding programs to improve academic achievement, our students will be prepared to face a world that requires navigation of evolving careers and technology.
