Descriptions

The Raiders Team is a physically demanding and competitive team that focuses on adventure training and fitness. Raiders compete in events that test their physical and mental endurance, such as rope bridge construction, a 5K run, and litter carries. This team emphasizes physical fitness, teamwork, and overcoming challenges in a field environment.

The Air Rifle Team competes in precision marksmanship using air rifles. Cadets learn the fundamentals of rifle safety and competitive shooting in three positions: prone, standing, and kneeling. This team requires intense concentration, discipline, and steady control, making it a great way to develop focus and patience.

The Color Guard and Drill Team are responsible for performing at official ceremonies and events. The Color Guard is a highly disciplined team that presents the national and state flags, often at school assemblies, sporting events, and community parades. The Drill Team performs intricate marching routines and complex movements with and/or without rifles. Both teams showcase precision, discipline, and a high level of proficiency in drill and ceremony.

The Archery team is a special team that focuses on the precision and skill of competitive archery. Cadets learn to shoot a compound or recurve bow with accuracy and consistency. This team teaches discipline, focus, and a steady hand. It is an excellent way for cadets to develop a new skill while representing the battalion in a different type of competition.
